Will I Convert?
I'm thinking of moving from Blogger to WordPress for a long time. I even set up a blog over there just to play around.
I'm even more convinced now that WP and the New Blogger Formerly Known As Blogger Beta get along much better, to wit: I just transferred over all of my posts (published and drafts) with comments and photos, in about 2 minutes.
I think I'll just get through NaBloPoMo on Blogger, while properly categorizing everything on WP, updating widgets, etc. and then switcheroo!
Unless anyone can think of a reason not to. (Staying all Google all the time doesn't cut it.)

NOOO! Don't do it! Save your soul before it's too late!!
I was lured into the murky woods of Wordpress by their flash widgets and pretty templates. I soon discovered to my peril and ongoing frustration that it is a realm of nightmares. All will go well for a honeymoon period. But just as your readership starts to build, your posts will disappear before you publish them. Many that do publish won't configure properly. Your photos won't upload. Your control panel will jam and there will be no way to unjam it for days and days. Your whole computer will begin to sloooow down.
Sorry to come out of Lurkdom in such a dramatic way, but I must save you from the WP banshee.
I got out just in time with my sanity ragged but still essentially intact. I know at least three others who also ran screaming from the place.
Blogger is boring but at least it is relatively hassle-free.
PS, I like your weblog ;-)
I only know WP so I can't compare, and I am an undemanding user (only post photos occasionally) but have had no problems at all.
Sorry to hear that you have had, Patience, but I have never experienced any of the problems you mention.
I'll play devil's advocate and say go for it!

I tried WP first and LOATHED their photo interface! I much prefer Blogger for ease of, well, Blogging! Oh, and like patience, I had posts disappear, too. Pain in the keester.
Jealous that you get Thanksgiving tomorrow. :-( It's my most missed American holiday. A big ol' Turkey in NZ is $150!!! And nary a cranberry to be seen. Oh, and it's the middle of summer. *makes sad face*
I tried Blogger before WP and hated it. Switched to WP and haven't looked back. I have no complaints about the .com version of WP and have never experienced anything like what Patience has described. I'm a relatively undemanding user but post photos often and have never had a problem.
I say, go for it. After NaBlo, of course.

I just went to Wordpress and I have a question.......how do you find a particular blog? Did I miss something(probable)? Is there a way to search?

Patience: It's good to hear both sides, and what you said has made me realize I should investigate how hard it would be to transfer posts back to Blogger if WP doesn't work out.
Charlotte: I started a WP blog a long time ago but thought Blogger's photo upload process was easier. Now I don't care so much about that.
